
As a Professional Speaker…
Pam has spoken to numerous association, corporate, and not-for-profit audiences. Her presentations include motivational and educational topics, ranging from professional and personal communication to change and transition to interpersonal relationships and self-awareness.
Pam is an active member of the National Speakers Association. She has chaired the NSA Chapter Leadership Committee, co-chaired NSA’s audio-video news magazine, Voices of Experience, and co-edited a column for NSA’s Speaker magazine. At NSA Conventions, Pam’s roles have ranged from Logistics Coordinator to Hospitality Chair, plus multiple other volunteer roles. She has served as President of NSA: Indiana and NSA: New York Tri-State. Both chapters have recognized her as their Chapter Member of the Year.
As a Business Professional…
Pam Burks launched her business career as a marketing representative for the IBM Corporation. Highly reputed for its marketing and sales training, IBM provided her a working knowledge of how to identify and meet her clients’ business needs at all levels of the organization. Pam broadened her general management scope at GTE Corporation by founding various new business ventures.
In establishing her company to provide professional speaking and training, Pam credits her initial career in education and subsequent experience as Vice President of Marketing and Sales for a human resources consulting firm, for expanding her entrepreneurial vision and the impetus to build her own firm.
Pam received a B.S. from Indiana University-Bloomington and M. A. from Ball State University.
She is a member of Visit Indy; Rotary Club of Indianapolis; Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Dean’s Advisory Council; Indiana University Society of the Friends of Music Board; Indiana University Singing Hoosiers Alumni Council; and, Guideposts Foundation National Cabinet.
